Double Dutch Appetites & Emotions As curators of Double Dutch, a project commissioned by the Flower Council of Holland, we set ourselves the challenge to expand the way we communicate through flowers. Staged in a guerrilla shop in the Brompton Design District, we commissioned two installations. Appetites, by Lisa White and Graham Hollick, referred to Dutch and Flemish still lives to create a provocative hybrid of nature and culture. In Emotions Miriam van der Lubbe and Nils van Eijk challenged the monosyllabical language of most bouquets to go beyond bland expressions of love and gratitude and communicate feelings such as Anger, Happiness and Jealousy.
