An important focus of the project and strategy for signalling change has been making use of empty properties, to stage temporary exhibitions and events, and create a platform for ideas and experimentation. In the past 3 years, over 50 projects have taken place in South Kensington estates properties. These have ranged from temporary installations by designers including Ron Arad, Martino Gamper and Tom Dixon; roaming galleries by curators Libby Sellers, Rachael Barraclough and the NYC gallery Storefront for Architecture; and off-site events by the Victoria & Albert Museum and Royal College of Art.
