Part of our long-term project researching global bathing cultures and the current renaissance of social bathing and the bathhouse, we have co-developed Culture of Bathing, a platform exploring the rituals, spaces, and cultures of social bathing, together with Therme Group.
A key part of this has been shaping a Culture of Bathing Substack newsletter —for dedicated bathers and the steam-curious alike. Here, we unpack the rich and evolving world of bathing, exploring its physical, social, cultural and spiritual dimensions from ancient traditions to contemporary practices, from sensory experiences to the politics of the bathhouse.
